Saskia Hollander is a Senior Research Fellow at the EU & Global Affairs Unit at Clingendael. Her research revolves mainly around EU governance, enlargement & reform, and the EU’s rule of law instruments.

Prior to joining Clingendael, Saskia was the director of The Broker, a Dutch-based knowledge brokering organization in the field of international development. She also worked at the Dutch Advisory Council on International Affairs as deputy secretary of the European Integration Committee. Saskia started her professional career at the Netherlands Scientific Council for Government Policy on projects related to European integration and Dutch development policy.

Saskia holds a PhD in political science from Radboud University Nijmegen. Her dissertation dealt with the politics of referendum use in the EU.
